Meet the Dentists

Dr Vanessa Platt

BDS (London)

Dr Platt qualified at Kings College in London in 2002 and worked in private practices in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, practicing private and National Health Service dentistry before immigrating to Australia in 2005. 

She spent six years at a southern metropolitan dental practice was a clinical lecturer at the Adelaide University Dental Hospital from 2008–2011 before joining Ozone Dental in 2011.

As an undergraduate, Dr Platt conducted research in to amalgam toxicity for her dissertation and since then has had an active passion for holistic dentistry.

Dr Platt is a holistic dentist S.M.A.RT certified in the safe removal of amalgam removals and is an active member of the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) and accredited in laser dentistry.

Her focus is on making a positive contribution to the oral health of patients and caring for patients to help them achieve their overall health goals.

For those who are eligible,Holistic dentist  Dr Platt treats patients under the C.D.B.S. (Child Dental Benefits Schedule). This entitles children between two and eighteen years to receive treatment up to the value of over $1000 over two years with no out of pocket expenses.

Dr Nathaniel Nowicki

Dr. Nathaniel Nowicki

Dr. Nathaniel Nowicki is an energetic Dentist with a passion for natural health and well being. As such he has modelled his way of providing care to incorporate his guests general health, well being, diet and lifestyle and not simply the nature and health of the teeth.

Outside of the mouth Dr Nathaniel has passions in Photography, restoring classic European cars, paragliding and music and you will often hear him humming or singing throughout his day!

After Finishing a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Adelaide in 2006, he then returned to study a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2012 at the University of Adelaide. Since then he has spent time training in Natural Medicine and Nutrition with the Trinity College of Natural Health in the United States, as well as training in Implantology in Europe, with a focus on Ceramic Implantology.

He is currently the only Dentist in South Australia with Accreditation in the S.M.A.R.T protocol for safe mercury filling removal, an example of his commitment to what he believes. At the moment he in the process of completing his Masters in Laser dentistry and is currently one of only two dentists in South Australia with a Lightwalker Laser.

Dr Jayneen Orwa

Dr Jayneen Orwa

Dr Jayneen is a new member to the Ozone team, having joined us this year.

Prior to starting at Ozone, she has been practicing dentistry part time for two years. Jayneen has a passion for working with patients who have had difficult dental experiences in the past. With a background in social services, she combines deep empathy with dental clinical skills to create a comfortable environment where patients can feel at ease.

After completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University in 2014, Jayneen worked in Melbourne, and briefly travelled through South East Asia before moving to South Australia to commence her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at The University of Adelaide. She has completed training in laser safety, and has an active interest in restorative dentistry. Jayneen is also currently expanding her training in myology with a focus on the muscles of the head and neck, and how they can contribute to jaw and facial pain.

In her spare time, Jayneen enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. She enjoys running, and is working her way up to completing her first marathon. She also writes music, and enjoys singing and playing guitar.
